Team Take Point Now

Our team of Marine Corps veterans and their supporters are focused on a major objective -- breaking World Records and creating a system for wounded and injured veterans to join their community on the water.

PK Ewing was born and raised on Long Island, NY and completed his undergraduate studies at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. Commissioned as a Marine Officer, he has served as an artillery officer, staff officer and civil affairs operator.

After the events of 9/11, PK returned to active service, was promoted again and soon saw heavy combat in Iraq. Due to complications from injuries sustained in Iraq, he was eventually placed in the Wounded Warrior Regiment.

Greg Image

Greg Raney was born just outside Houston, TX. During his childhood he developed an interest in the outdoors and anything with a motor. When he graduated from high school, Greg enlisted in the Marine Corps and got to spend a lot of time around engines and the outdoors. In 2004 Greg signed on with the 4th Civil Affairs Group out of Washington, DC for a deployment to Ar Ramadi, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Erika Christie is an army brat, film enthusiast, and avid sci-fi geek. As the creative force behind TAKE POINT NOW, Erika gets to put all of her diverse talents to good use creating and producing the projects videos and photographs, and establishing amazing contacts for TAKE POINT NOW'S media events. She loves working with all the amazing veterans that have come forward to be interviewed and contribute to the project.

Kathy was born and raised in Virginia and graduated from Mary Washington College with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She currently works as a Contracts Specialist for Marine Corps Systems Command in Quantico, Virginia.  After supporting the Marine Corps for the last six years and meeting the Take Point Now team of veterans, Kathy was inspired to step up and do something.

John Kilby was born and raised in the Baltimore Area. Earning his Eagle Scout and graduating high school, he enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserves shortly thereafter. John deployed to Kosovo with John Pignone as part of the 4th Civil Affairs Group in 2002. This was followed by a deployment to Ar Ramadi, Iraq in 2004, and back again in 2006.

Megan is an experienced jet ski rider and former USMC avionics technician. Take Point Now's mission to help veterans, especially wounded veterans, in their transition to civilian life is what drew Megan to TPN. She is inspired to help wounded veterans with our jet ski prototypes for wounded riders and being an example to all veterans with our world record setting missions.

Roger is an active duty army psychiatrist who focuses on helping veterans to build a championship mindset. This starts with proper sleeping, diet, and exercise, and reaches into all facets of a persons life. This is a core principle of Take Point Now which is why we are so happy to have him as part of our team.

Founding Team Member John Pignone has followed his heart into Jesuit training. He is currently serving his community with compassion and integrity and will one day, God willing, be teaching and spreading the cause of good will and benevolence.


John Pignone was born and raised in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area. After graduating from high school, he joined the Marine Corps Reserves and was assigned to the 4th Civil Affairs Group in DC.
